Order 1 * 40'HQ customized molecular sieve 13X

In the second half of last year, a customer from Europe sent an inquiry for 20 tons of 1-2mm molecular sieve 13X, with the application: as desiccant agents for moisture removal in hexane and isobutane. But in the parameters, the compressive strength requirement is too high, and the moisture content should also be below 1%. Most salesperson will recommend regular sizes to customers, and we do the same. However, after in-depth communication, we found that the end customer's device requires two sizes of zeolite 13X, each with different purposes:

* 1-2 mm: for the drying of isobutane and hexene (liquids);

* 2-3 mm: for the drying of ethylene, hydrogen, and air (gases).

The end-user does not need the regular size as it is already in use. So the project was disconnected in mid August....

 

After this year's holiday, we tried to contact the customer again and received a response from them to place the order. However, the parameters were not from OIM Chemical, but from our compititor, and they wrote the parameters very high. We always told that the smaller size have small crush strength, if crush strength is higher, which will definitely affect the adsorption performance. We must tell the truth for all of our customers in advance before production. The fundamental principle of long-term business is integrity, which is also our consistent purpose. So we inform our customers of the limits we can achieve.

Another month has passed, and the client is also on a business trip in China. Unfortunately, this business trip did not include their planned visit to our factory. But the customer requested the sample to be brought on the plane. Thanks for the efforts from our R & D department person, we finished the small quantity of sample, and reached to customer’s schedule on time.

After more than half a month of price and technical communication, customer choose to place this order to OIM Chemical.

So how does molecular sieve work in liquid ethylene?

* Choose the right molecular sieve: Ensure that the molecular sieve used is 13X zeolite, with appropriate pore size and adsorption capacity.

* Mixing operation: Mix hexene with an appropriate amount of 13X molecular sieve, and use the adsorption performance of the molecular sieve to remove impurities and moisture from hexene.

* Filtration and Separation: Dry hexene is separated from molecular sieves through methods such as filtration or centrifugation to obtain pure hexene.

* Regeneration and reuse: Used molecular sieves can be regenerated for reuse through methods such as heating, vacuum, or airflow blowing.

Through the above steps, 13X molecular sieve can be effectively used to dry liquid hexene, improving its purity and quality.
